6 Accessories For Easier Brewing

Whether you are a beginner home brewer or have been making your own alcohol for years, these home brewing accessories will make your brewday easier!

Hydrometer - The ONLY way to tell if your home brew beer or spirits wash is finished is to test the Specific Gravity (SG) with a hydrometer.

It’s easy to do, don’t be scared of it. Knowing that your brew is fully fermented means there is less chance of exploding bottles and you get the full amount of distilled alcohol possible from your yeast.

Most beer recipes will give you an expected finishing SG and a distilling wash should be 990 specific gravity

5 Piece Measuring Jug Set - Let me count the ways to use these!

  • Pouring sugar into the fermenter
  • Measuring the water you add to your beer or spirit brew
  • Taking a sample to test the SG of your home brew
  • Steeping hops in before adding them to your home brewed beer
  • Mixing your detergent and sanitiser in for cleaning and sanitising brewing equipment
  • Sitting an extract can or pouch in it with warm water to make the malt easier to pour into your fermenter
  • Standing your sanitised spoon in to keep it clean

Extra Long Stainless Steel Spoon - Measuring 53 cm, this spoon is sturdy and long enough that you don’t have to stick your arm all in the fermenter.

It won’t wear down or burr or bend like plastic spoons do.

Large Syphon - The Easy Syphon makes transferring your beer or spirit wash from from the fermenter simple. It comes with a sediment reducer on the end to avoid sediment being transferred to your keg or stil, and 1.5m tubing which fits snugly over the syphon. You can even add a clamp to the hose to stop and start the flow as you need if you are transferring your beer batch into bottles.
